§1 Children don’t hold accounts
TimeLink accounts are for adults. Children are the people messages are written for: they do not create accounts, do not sign in, and do not give us information themselves.
In other words: Grown-ups write. Children receive.
§2 What a child receives
A message reaches a child the way it reaches anyone: an email with a private link to a page holding the letter, photos, video or recording. No account is needed to open it.
We want to be exact about that link, because it is the one thing that reaches a child directly. It does not expire. It cannot be switched off except by the person who wrote the message deleting it. And anyone who has the link can open it — so if an email is forwarded, whoever receives it can read the message too.
In other words: A child gets a private link. It lasts, and anyone holding it can open it.
§3 Children’s privacy law
This section is still being written.
In other words: to follow, with the text.
